There are over 8 miles of trails in Weetamoo Woods and Pardon Gray Preserve.
Red- 1.1 Miles
Yellow- 2.0 Miles- ( Out and Back, so its 2 miles 1 way)
Orange- 1.2 Miles
Blue - 1 Mile
Green - 0.5 Miles
Brown- North Loop 1.4 Miles
On 4/11/20 i took my first hike during the Covid-19 pandemic stuff going on. Yes, I wore a mask! It felt so damn good getting out there again, although the trails were packed and some people were in groups of more than 5. Mondo would be pissed. lol
Anyways enough of the 'Rona virus.
So today we did 2.5 miles taking the Yellow trail to the Green Trail to Red back to Yellow, then took a side trail called the Meadow trail which totaled 2.5 miles.
There are all sorts of terrain in here, and I loved it all. Theres dirt, rocky, muddy, rooty some inclines, nothing major but its an incline, lots of stream crossings and hopping on rocks to cross the streams and mud. Perfect hike in my eyes.
Finally got to try out my new new Keen hiking shoes and blister free socks I bought at REI Those socks are the bomb!
Also i got to test out my new water bladder for my new backpack I bought on Amazon. And my new hiking pants, which kept falling off my ass, lmao, ya so the pants didnt work out but everything else was fanfuckintastic!! The water bladder took me half way through my hike to figure out lmao! but i managed!!
Oh yeah and I used to 2 hiking poles this time rather then the 1 ive been using, holy crap what a difference 2 makes. Ill probably do a blog on the perks of using hiking poles soon.
Ran into my Sister In Law Jen too, which was a bonus!!
Went back on 4/17/20 do to the Yellow trail which was 4 miles out and back. ( 2 miles each way!)
The yellow trail is by far the best trail there is in there in my opinion. Lots of mud but whats wrong with a muddy hike, if your shoes are muddy then you know it was a great hike!!
This is one of the best local trails in RI and its only 15 minutes from my house so I will be going there alot more now.

Was so excited when Rocco Root said I've had it we"re going on a hike! Felt like real human to be on a trail again. And she is absolutely right about it being a great hike with all the varying terrains. Can't wait for the next adventure! Happy trails to you too!
