Found this trail in AllTrails and it said 4.6 miles with an elevation gain of 124 ft. Beautiful pond view and lots of wildlife in the pond. Excellent day and pick for a nice flat hike.
So being that 'Rona is still around in sticking to trails locally in Rhode Island. This was a good choice.
You park at Ryan Park boat launch, not to be confused with Ryan Park that is before the boat launch. There are tons of parking places scattered throughout the place to park. I suggest in the boat launch area because the big beautiful pond is where you start your trek. We were greeted with ducks, are they ducks or geese? lol and their babies from from the start.

Then as you proceed there is a nice dam, rhode island waterfalls, LOL

There are a ton of side trails off this trail and none of them are marked. If you are following the AllTrails trail then don't shoot off onto any of them if you just want to do that trail, but I highly recommend taking the 1st trail in your left after the little stream crossing.
This trail takes you around the lake to the most beautiful bridge to cross over. There are also a bunch of side trails in here but I figured out if you just stay in the trail and hug the lake you end up hitting the bridge.
After the bridge it takes you back to the parking lot .
The side trails are from what I gather are mainly for mountain biking and get kinda muddy.
So anyways, after the 2.5 mile loop we had a snack and tried to figure out how the hell this trail is 4.6 miles when we were already at the car after 2.5. Remember that 1st left i said to take to loop the bridge? Well! if you just continue on straight and Don t take that left and stay on that path , that nice flat path lol eventually you will start to see some yellow blazes on the trees, just keep following that and don't take any of the side paths . Maybe about a half mile or so of seeing yellow blazes they just stop appearing.
There's an old cemetery with a few broken headstones in there. #21 i think it was. A We rescued a little tiny turtle guy that was in the middle of the path, picked him up and placed him on the side so he didn't get stepped on 🐢

We ended up going about 1.5 miles in and turning around , wasn't very scenic but it was a nice flat dirt packed road i guess you can say.
Was a great place, the bridge was the highlight and saw some turtles in the pond sitting on logs, hiker stu brought her handy dandy binoculars, I highly recommend them on this hike! Some of the off trails ahd some pretty sweet nature views.
Ooohhhhh and saw the loch ness monster lol

Like I said you can make this hike as long or short as you want, but I do suggest to at least do the 2 miles around the pond !

Happy Trails - Hike Safely and Responsibly
Love the scenery. Great pics
Plooping that pond was really cool especially with everything you see along the way. There also was this very large bird not sure if it was a turkey vulture or what but it was huge and creepy looking. The bridge was pretty awesome! We made 5 miles out of this hike. Great day! As Rocco route always says happy trails! 😁✌🥾
