King Benson Preserve Trail is about 3 miles long and a loop trail trail rated Easy.

Took advantage of the mild December day and decided to hit a trail. Since I have A ton of days off from work what better thing to do than hit the dirt, or frozen mud I should say lol

We hiked the blue trail and did 2.5 miles in under 2 hours, that was stopping to eat some corn nuts and tuna fish at the waterfall. A small waterfall but still a waterfall which we get to mark off as a challenge in the New England 6 Challenge, ✌😜

If you jump on the white trail it will take you to the waterfall, this pic doesn't quite show it, but as you are walking to it you can hear it and it's kind of amazing to see, so we sat and stuffed out faces.

On the white trail to the falls there was a canopy of I guess spruce trees which seemed like I was in a magical fairy tale.

Definitely need to come back in the spring to see how amazing this must look, because it looking pretty dang freaking cool this time a year.

The trail was a bit muddy in spots but left some cool ice shots.

I will definitely be back here in the spring to see the trail with the trees all grown in.

Oooohhhh and the gem of this trail is there's a restroom at the trailhead, and it was clean and didn't smell!!!

This was hike #11/100 for the 100 Hike challenge.

King Benson was a really great trail especially the canopy of spruce trees like your in an enchanted forest. I used both my hiking poles for the first time from only using one. The best birthday gift ever from Rocco Root. Resting by the falls I'll call it having lunch not stuffing our faces lol. Looking forward to going back in the spring to see everything fresh and green. Thjere is a lot to see on this hike. Happy trails to you too!
